■ Photo Interrupter
Reflect type
It is composed of light emitting devices and photosensitive devices arranged on the same side.
When there is an object (detection target) at the front, the photosensitive device can receive the emitted light or scattered light;
When there is no object shelter (detection target) at the front side, the photosensitive device cannot receive the emitted light or scattered light;
Through this principle, whether the target can be easily detected.
More functions can be derived from the design of light shields, lenses and special reflectors.
Transmit type
The transmission light emitting device and the photosensitive device are arranged relatively, and the target object passes through the middle.
When there is an object (detection target) in the middle, the photosensitive device cannot receive the light signal;
When there is no object shelter (detection target) in the middle, the photosensitive device can receive the light signal;
Through this principle, whether the target can be easily detected;
More functions can be derived from special designs such as lens and code disk.
Photo interrupter is also called opto switch or opto coupler.
Generally, a light emitting device and a receiving device are integrated internally to detect the presence or absence of a target through the emission or opposite emission of light by the target object.
It can also realize counting, speed measurement, positioning, data transmission and other functions through auxiliary components or adjusting the parameters of light emitting and light receiving devices.
Photo interrupter is a common component in electronic equipment. It is small in size, low in cost, and resistant to electromagnetic interference. Because it is non-contact induction, it has a long service life and reliability.
