NIC106-01
This IC is a special ranging chip that uses PSD (Position Sensitive Device) components as input devices and adopts the principle of triangular ranging.
It is composed of IrED drive circuit, DC optical filter circuit, photosensitive current preamplifier circuit, operation circuit, 10 bit analog-to-digital converter, 9 bit analog-to-digital converter, output amplitude adjustment circuit, analog comparator with hysteresis characteristics, timing and I/O logic control circuit, and reference power circuit.
The chip operates in pulse mode. IrED can emit light for 8 or 32 pulses, and the number of pulses can be set through the state of AVE terminal.
The circuit can also set the energy-saving mode, which is only 1/6 of the normal power consumption.
The blood oxygen detection adopts the PPG principle, and the sensor will emit red light and infrared light to the skin. Because oxygen saturated hemoglobin is red, the reflectivity of red light and infrared light is different. When the oxygen content of hemoglobin is high, the reflectivity of red light is high, and the reflectivity of infrared light is low. On the contrary, when the oxygen content of hemoglobin is low, the reflectivity of red light is low, and the reflectivity of infrared light is high. Quickly emit red light and infrared light respectively, compare and process the received reflected signals, and then calculate the blood oxygen saturation.
